Selected Projects

Some projects are a challenge because of the tech. Others are difficult because twenty individual things have to happen at exactly the right time, in the right order. Some are held to world-class luxury standards. Here are a few of the programs that shaped how I work.

Robotics · Physical AI

Berkshire Grey

Bringing physical AI into the distribution center

Before this project, I had never spent much time thinking about what actually happens inside a distribution center. Goods arrive, goods leave, and somehow everything in between gets sorted, labeled, routed, and sent to the right place.

Then I got dropped into the middle of it.

At Berkshire Grey, I helped coordinate the deployment of robotic picking and sorting systems across a world of software engineers, hardware engineers, facility layouts, permits, installation teams, conveyor systems, and extremely demanding schedules.

It gave me a completely new appreciation for the complexity behind warehouse automation, where miles of conveyor, robotics, software, and people all have to work together while the operation itself keeps moving.

Conversational AI · Banking

Kasisto

Bringing conversational banking to millions of customers

At Kasisto, I worked on the rollout of digital banking assistants for major financial institutions in Africa, including Absa's Abby and Nedbank's Enbi.

These projects brought conversational banking experiences directly to customers through their mobile devices, giving millions of people a new way to interact with their banks.

Behind a simple chat interface was a much more complicated delivery effort involving banking systems, integrations, conversational design, security, testing, and coordination across large financial institutions.

It was one of the projects that reinforced something I had already started to see clearly: conversational AI was moving from an interesting experiment into a real enterprise channel.

Infrastructure · Retail Technology

Skechers

Modernizing hundreds of stores without disrupting retail

The mission sounded simple: upgrade about 200 stores a year with the latest Cisco LAN and WAN equipment.

The technology was the easy part.

The real challenge was coordinating retail operations, store teams, installation vendors, onsite technicians, lift vendors, equipment staging, shipment logistics, and inventory schedules, all while making sure each store was ready to open the next morning.

At peak deployment, that meant making sure twenty different things happened in the right order across five stores a night, four nights a week, for months at a time.

It became a lesson in repeatable execution: building a process strong enough to run hundreds of times, but flexible enough to survive the inevitable problems that happen in the field.

Infrastructure as Code · Automation

Kontoor Brands

Building infrastructure as code from the ground up

Kontoor Brands had recently separated from its parent company, which created a rare opportunity: instead of inheriting years of legacy infrastructure, we were helping build a new environment from the ground up.

The goal was to make application infrastructure as software-driven and automated as possible.

Using technologies including Ansible, Terraform, and UiPath, the team worked toward an environment where infrastructure could be provisioned, configured, and managed through automation instead of relying on traditional manual processes.

Because it was a greenfield program, we were not just modernizing an existing system. We were helping define how a newly independent company would build and operate infrastructure going forward.

Retail Technology · Flagship Store Delivery

Louis Vuitton · Rodeo Drive

Making complex infrastructure disappear inside a world-class retail experience

I worked alongside store-planning architects using structural drawings, wireless heatmaps, and technology requirements to make sure the finished space delivered the reliability the business expected while keeping the technology itself almost invisible.

The challenge wasn't just installing technology. Every access point, cable path, closet, and device had to work around the architecture without compromising the customer experience.

That meant coordinating LAN and WAN connectivity, telephony, redundancy, Akamai caching, guest Wi-Fi, people counters, and the broader network environment across a large and architecturally complex building.

During the 2015 renovation of Louis Vuitton’s Rodeo Drive flagship, I was responsible for making sure the technology within the store worked flawlessly from opening day.
